I am very impressed by Straight Edge Painting and I had a great experience with this company. Jason and his team did an outstanding job painting the exterior of my house in Lincoln, CA. Last year, I was notified by my HOA that I needed to clean and paint the exterior of my house in order to maintain community standards for the neighborhood. This was a challenge for me because I live out of state and my house is rented by tenants. Initially I had no leads for painters so I did a search on Yelp for highly ranked painters in the area and I submitted a request for estimates for the project. Jason and his team rapidly responded to my request and provided me with a fair estimate. He was willing to work with me on the price and I felt that the price was reasonable for the work performed. Overall, Jason and his team went above and beyond what I would expect. Not only did they power wash the entire house a few days before actually painting but they also applied multiple coats of paint to the exterior walls and trim to ensure that the exterior would not need to be painted again for a very long time. Initially, we had challenges with getting the project approved by the HOA because they wanted us to fill out multiple forms requesting approval for the project by the ARB. This required multiple “before” pictures not only of my house but also of “similar” houses in the neighborhood to establish the proper color scheme. In addition, they HOA wanted actual “physical” color samples to be delivered as part of the project approval application. Despite these hassles, Jason was extremely patient and polite throughout the whole process. Jason not only provided all of the artifacts required for the application including “before” and “after” pictures but they also went out of their way to personally deliver color swatches from the paint store to the HOA office. The result was an application that was approved within 2 business days. To sum it up, I was very impressed by the customer service from Straight Edge Painting as they accomplished everything for me despite me not being local to the area. We recently had Jason, Elijah, and crew paint the exterior of our stucco house and they did a great job. Our home was built in 2004 and still had the original builders paint. We recently had an aluminum patio cover installed, which left a large gap in the stucco trim that needed to be filled. Jason, a self-described paint nerd, walked us through how he was going to patch up holes and cracks in the stucco, fix dry rot trim, and power wash the entire structure before painting. I always thought prep work was key in a good outcome, so this was a good start. He then bid 2 coats of PPG brand paint and "rolling back" between coats to well cover the stucco. Other companies were not much less $$$ than his bid but were only bidding one coat. He started on a weekend with power washing, did masking and other prep work on a Monday and was done by Wednesday. He was really helpful in applying actual paint samples on our home (not just those tiny paint color chips). His crew was friendly and respectful of our property the whole time they were here, and they cleaned up at the end of each work day. Cracks, holes, dry rot, and the big patio cover gap all fixed, and our home looks like new. It's truly a night and day difference. We had Jason come out and give us a quote as he did other houses around the neighborhood. He assisted us in picking out some colors. The Straight Edge Painting crew painted the outside of our house in a very short time frame. My wife and I really admire the way the paint captures the consistent color throughout our home, it adds so much depth and atmosphere. Jason was amazing to work with and like the other reviews say, his quotes were very fairly priced, even $4-5 thousand less than some other companies. We put our project on a tight timeline and even though the crew were rushed, they did an amazing job. Things to mention are little spots to touch and a bit of debris at certain places in the house I needed to clean up. Jason went through and touched up painting spots at the final walk-through. I feel they completely deserve 5 starts because I’m sure it was difficult to meet our timeline considering the scope of the project, and they worked without much guidance since we were mostly unavailable. Both my mother in law and niece said the crew were polite and friendly whenever they interacted while my husband and I were out of town. I’ve posted pictures of the master bedroom and bathroom but they also painted several other rooms including a two story hallway flawlessly. Definitely will recommend to friends. See more See less

Jason was very good at communicating with us on what we wanted done, and he was very prompt and efficient at his work. He painted our entire first floor including our living room, kitchen, dining room, entry way, hallway and bathroom. In addition, he painted our stairwell and hallway on the second floor. By fair the most honest and friendly company out there. I messaged multiple companies to get an estimate about painting my entire outside house and Jason was the first one to reply within an hour and come out on the same day (it was a Saturday). Jason explained everything in detail that he said he would do. We did get multiple estimates that were cheaper but decided to go with Jason based on his knowledge and explanation of everything he would do. He was patient with us as we were unsure of the color we wanted. We gave him the colors and got scheduled. He showed up on a Monday at 8am and got right to work. Unlike most companies that rush through jobs he took his time and spent 4 days making sure everything was evenly coated and perfect. We wanted a licensed painter who had skill, expertise and knew what products would be best when priming and painting the new stucco on our 2 story home. Jason and his crew were exactly what we were looking for. Not only did they prime, paint and caulk our windows and hairline cracks, but they made sure they covered our plants and pool and cleaned up leaving no mess behind. Wonderful family man, been in the business for a while and he knew his stuff. Received a handful of estimates and this business was the higher priced ones but I will 100% always pay a little more for a much better service and product. After the quote, we booked and their team got out here QUICK. Started prepping the next day. Paint crew was lead by Elijah, also another knowledgeable and easier to get along with fella. This project took only a day and a half and it came out perfect. 1700sq ft home They prepped very well; covered the floor, taped off handles/cameras, removed light fixtures, and power washed the home thoroughly.
